The talks highlights the work done in the context of NSF convergence accelerator track for 5G security. Nimbus is a Intent driven security automation operator designed for kubernetes. The aim of the talk is to explain how Security Intent is modeled, how security use-cases are templatized, and then a k8s-native design to automate generation of policy/rules from these intents in a scalable way. The talk will explain how O-RAN Threat Model was taken as input to identify the set of Intents and subsequently Nimbus operated on these Intents to provide security policies and rules in the context. The talk will also provide a demo of a security use-case handled using Intents considering Nephio as the multi-cluster orchestration solution.
